We have created this privacy statement (version 03.03.2020-311158583) to explain to you pursuant to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 what information we collect, how we use the data and what choices and options you have as a visitor to this site.

Unfortunately these explanations sound rather technical, yet we have tried to describe the most important points as simple and clear as possible.

What exactly are cookies?

Which types of cookies are there?

The question about the type of cookie to use specifically depends on the services employed and will be explained briefly in the following paragraphs of this privacy statement. At this point we would like to present a short description of the different types of HTTP cookies.

4 types of cookies can be distinguished:

Absolutely essential cookies
These cookies are needed to guarantee basic functions of the website. These cookies are necessary if a user puts a product in the shopping basket, goes on to surf on this site and then goes to the checkout. These cookies make sure that the items in the basket are not deleted even if the user closes his browser window.

Functional cookies
These cookies collect information about the user behaviour and also if the user receives any error messages. Moreover, these cookies help to measure the website loading time and also its behaviour with different browsers.

Target-orientated cookies
These cookies improve user friendliness. They store, for example, locations, font sizes and form data entered.

Advertising cookies
These cookies are also called targeting cookies. They serve to provide the user with personalized advertising. This may be very useful, but at times can also be very annoying.

Usually you will be asked at your first visit of a site which types of cookies you would like to admit. Of course, your decision will also be stored in a cookie.

How can I delete cookies?

It is entirely up to you which cookies you prefer to use and if you want to use cookies at all. No matter which service or website created the cookies you always have the option to delete them, admit them only in part or deactivate them. If you simply do not want any cookies you may set your browser to notify you whenever a cookie is set. This allows you to decide each time whether you want to accept a cookie or not. This procedure is different, depending on the browser. We recommend to look for the instructions in Google using the search term “Delete cookies Chrome” or “Deactive cookies Chrome” in case of the browser Chrome or just substitute the word “Chrome” y the name of your browser, i.e. Edge, Firefox, Safari.

What about my privacy?

A so-called “Cookie Policy” is in place since 2009. It stipulates that the visitor of a website (that is you) needs to give his permission to the saving of cookies. However, the reactions to this policy have been very different within EU countries. In Germany, the cookie policy has not been transposed into national law. Instead it was implemented in large parts in article 15 paragraph 3 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG).

Storage of personal data

Personal data you submit to us electronically on this website, such as your name, mail address, postal address or other personal data in case of the transmission of a form or of comments in a blog, will be used and stored safely by us with the time and the IP address only for the intended purpose and will not be passed on to third parties.

We use your personal data for the sole purpose of communicating with visitors who expressly accepted contact and for providing the services and products offered on this website. Without your consent we will not pass on your personal data, but cannot exclude that these data will be examined in case of unlawful conduct.

If you send us your personal data by mail, i.e. not via this website, we cannot guarantee a safe transmission and the protection of your data. We recommend never to transmit confidential data unencrypted by mail.

The legal basis of this is under article 6 paragraph 1 of EU-GDPR (lawfulness of processing) that you have given to us your prior consent to the processing of the data submitted by you. TLS encryption by https

We use HTTPS to secure the transfer of confidential data in Internet (data protection using technology article 25 paragraph 1 GDPR). The use of TLS (Transport Layer Security), an encryption protocol for secure data transfer in Internet guarantees the protection of your confidential data. The symbol of padlock appearing at the upper left of the browser window and the use of the HTTPS scheme (instead of http) as part of our Internet address indicate the use of this secure data transmission.

 

Automatic data storage

When visiting websites nowadays, certain data will be created and stored automatically, also on this website.

If you visit our website just like you are doing now, our web server (the computer on which our website is stored) will automatically store data like

in files (webserver log files).

As a general rule, webserver log files will be stored two weeks and are then deleted automatically. We do not pass on these data, however, exclude that they will be examined in case of unlawful conduct.

 

Facebook Pixel Privacy Policy

On our website we use Facebook Pixel of Facebook. For this end we implemented a code on our website. The Facebook Pixel is an excerpt of the JavaScript code loading a set of functions that allows Faceboook to follow actions of users if they acceded to our page via Facebook Ads. If, for example, you wish to buy a product on our website, this will activate the Facebook Pixel storying your actions on our website in one or more cookies. These cookies enable a comparison of your user data (client data like IP address, user ID) with the data of your Facebook account. Then, Facebook once again deletes these data. The data gathered are anonymous for us and not visible and can only be used when placing advertisements. If you are a user of Facebook and logged in, the visit of our web site will be assigned automatically to your Facebook user account.

We only want to present our services and products to the people really interested in them. Facebook Pixel enables us to adapt our advertising activities better to your wishes and interests. This explains why Facebook users (if they allowed personalized advertising) see appropriate advertising. Besides, Facebook uses the data gathered for analytical purposes and own advertisements.

Privacy statement relating to Facebook – automatic advanced matching

Within the framework of Facebook Pixel we have also activated automatic advanced matching. This function of the pixel enables to send to facebook hashed mails, names, sex, city, Federal State, postal code and date of birth or telephone number as additional information, insofar as you made those dates available to us. Due to this activation we can adapt advertising campaigns on Facebook even better to people interested in our services or products.

 

Privacy statement relating to the newsletter

If you register for a newsletter, you transmit the above personal data y allow us to contact you by mail. Data stored when registering for a newsletter are used by us exclusive for the purpose of the newsletter and will not be passed on by us.

If you unsubscribe the newsletter, you will find the link at the bottom of your newsletter, then we will delete all data stored in connection with you registering for the newsletter.

 

Privacy statement relating to embedded social media elements

On our website we embed elements of social media services to present pictures, videos and texts.
By visiting pages representing those elements, data will be transmitted by your browser toe the social media service in question where they will be stored. We have no access to these data.
